MVCC is seeking to fill a tenure-track,
ten-month Instructor position in the
School of Public and Human Services. This position will provide instruction for the Human
Services, Chemical Dependency Practitioner and Psychology programs. Teaching faculty at MVCC have the primary responsibility of
fulfilling the College mission of providing high-quality educational
opportunities to meet the diverse needs of our students. Our employees have an

Full-time faculty members teach contracted classes in accordance with established policies and guidelines. Courses may be taught in traditional classroom settings and online. Please note this position requires an on-campus obligation. This position may include both daytime and evening classes on our Utica and/or Rome campuses. Specific assignments will be made according to the academic qualifications and School needs. In addition to teaching, full-time instructors participate in program assessment, curriculum development, and student advisement, as well as recruiting for the program. They serve as members of various School and College Committees. First year faculty also participate in a multi-semester New Faculty Experience program.

Required Qualifications:
- Master’s degree or higher in Social Work (MSW), Human Services or Mental Health Counseling
Preferred Qualifications:
- NYS CASAC
- Social Work Licensure – NYS (LMSW, LCSW)
- Licensed Mental Health Counselor
- Experience in addiction counseling
