Upward Bound Classroom Assistant - Grant-Funded (PT)

Job Type: Part-Time, Temporary (Summer Only)

The College is looking for exceptional colleagues to join the MVCC community. We are currently seeking Upward Bound Classroom Assistants in our College Pipeline Department. This position will support Upward Bound senior staff in the implementation of MVCC's 6 week Upward Bound Summer College program from July - August.

Key responsibilities for this position include:

• Makes copies;
• Answers phones;
• Supports senior staff with classroom instruction;
• Assures that program participants have a safe environment to learn in;
• Engages with high school students in the program;
• Other duties as assigned by the Program Coordinator.

Work Schedule: The work schedule for this position will be based on the needs of the department and the availability of the applicant. 

Hours per week: up to 29

Qualifications:

• Must have an Associate's degree (or a minimum of 60 completed college credits) OR be an MVCC student who is currently enrolled in 6+ credit hours, or will be enrolled in the fall semester
• Must be in good academic standing if still in school
• Must be able to work with high school students
• Unofficial college transcripts at time of application, if applicable

• Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. If you currently need sponsorship or will need it in the future to maintain employment authorization, you do not meet eligibility requirements.
